Riverdale is a teen drama series based loosely off the Archie Comics. The series, which airs on The CW, follows Archie Andrews, Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse), Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes) and others as they uncover the darkness lurking beneath the surface of the small town they live in.
Speaking with TV Line about what’s to come when Riverdale returns, KJ Apa and Cole revealed that a lot of the plot will be based off what happened in the season two finale.
KJ said: ‘I think the last episode, if I were to describe it in one way, it would be tragic — for one person (Archie) in particular in the show, but for everyone, ultimately.’
‘Jughead’s made a lot of enemies,’ Cole added.
In the same interview, Camila Mendes who plays Veronica on the CW show, revealed that ‘the lead-up from everything that’s been happening between Archie and Hiram, their relationship’ is going to be key moving forward.
Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa tweeted a comic depicting Archie in court along with the title of the season three premiere, Labor Day.

There’s no telling what will happen when Riverdale returns, sscasn [sscasn2024.com] but expect to see a lot more of once ancillary characters.
Roberto told Deadline: ‘one idea is that we might shift the focus around on different characters, some of our supporting players as well to kind of tell a tapestry of what life is like’.
He didn’t indicate which characters will be thrust into the spotlight, but viewers can expect to see more of Reggie (Charles Melton) and Toni (Vanessa Morgan).
In addition to be extremely popular with viewers, Riverdale and its stars are frequent winners at award shows.
The CW series swept the competition during Sunday’s Teen Choice Awards, winning in several categories including choice drama TV show, choice drama TV actor, choice drama TV actress, choice TV villain, choice breakout TV star, choice TV ship, choice lip lock and other awards.
Riverdale stars Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart were all the talk of the 2018 Teen Choice Awards, especially after an adorable picture of them, perfectly photobombed by co-star KJ Apa, hit the web.
